Portishead CC beat Bedminster CC by 12 runs to reach the Bristol under 13’s Cup Final. The hosts were put into bat and reached a credible 108/4. Portishead put on 24 for the first wicket with Reuben Berger scoring 10. Opener George Southey (19) and Ethan Monks (22) put on a great partnership with Joe Dyas (14) and Ollie O’Connor (7) providing valuable runs at the end of the innings. Zach Rollings took an immediate sculp in the first over as the visitors went about their task. Hugh Ten Broeke kept things tight at the other end with only 6 runs off 2 overs. Wickets started to fall with O’Connor, Ben Hartigan and Finlay Mace with one a piece. Euan Jones and Hamish Lawrence Tarr kept the score below 90 with 3 overs remaining before Monks wrapped up the game with a hat-trick (3/6).
