The under 15s started their league campaign against the pre-season favourites Clevedon and narrowly missed out on victory. The hosts will look back on two dropped catches as the visitors opener at the time who was in single figures went on to make a half century. A late rally of wickets from Kemp, Garrett, Katta and Monks restricted Clevedon to 138. Jones and Monks also taking catches to contribute to the four wickets. Portishead openers Kemp and Garrett started the innings well, with the latter going on to make an impressive 45 not out, only denied his fifty by an enforced retirement! Berger hit a quick fire 14 off only 12 balls, with Jones (4 no) and Monks (20 no) bringing up the rear as PCC only lost three wickets. Some very encouraging contributions so things look promising for the season ahead... well done boys!
